Simply put, we couldn’t do all that we do without membership support like yours. You don’t have to look far to see how big a difference your support makes in Indiana.
Just a few weeks ago, our state officially reported a total of 33 abortions in Indiana over the last three months of 2024. If you compare that to the last three months of 2021 (the year before Roe vs. Wade was overturned), there were 1,979 children killed by abortion in Indiana over the comparable three-month period.
That’s 1,946 fewer babies killed by abortion in October-December 2024 compared to October-December 2021. You know a drop in abortions this big didn’t happen by chance.
This drop in abortions is amazing and we a truly thankful, but you know the fight is far from over in Indiana. Even now, there are still active lawsuits in Indiana that threaten to weaken and undermine our new law. Abortion supporters are regrouping and lashing out across the state in efforts deeply funded by groups like Planned Parenthood. These abortion groups are banking on Indiana’s pro-life community letting its guard down because of the low abortion numbers, and if we ever do, they are waiting to pounce in making Indiana a state where abortion clinics are back in business. These groups are so extreme and so angry that they recently attacked a simple resolution in the Indiana senate recognizing the fine work of Indiana’s pro-life pregnancy resource centers.
Planned Parenthood and others still think they can win back Indiana. We can’t let that happen. You know how hard the fight has been to gain all the ground we have gained over the last few years. Imagine ever going back to a day when abortions skyrocket again in our state.
As encouraged as we are by the dramatic fall in abortions in Indiana, we can’t walk away from the 33 children who still lost their lives in the closing months of 2024. These little ones mattered, because they were all made in the image of God. We have so much more work left to do.
