Right to Life of Southwest Indiana is delighted to welcome its third Executive Director, Dr. Jeff Ferguson.
Dr. Ferguson brings a wealth of experience spanning over twenty years of local church ministry in various senior leadership capacities, and is prepared to lead this organization to increased effectiveness so that both in law and practice the value of life is upheld.
Dr. Ferguson is a graduate of Evangel University Theological Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry degree, where he wrote his dissertation on spiritual abuse and antagonism in churches, workplaces, and denominations. He also attended Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for his graduate Theology Degree and North Central University for his bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry. Dr. Ferguson has been an ordained minister since 2005. He and his wife, Rochelle, have been married for nineteen years and together they raise their three children. Jeff and Rochelle also co-founded a non-profit organization, Not On My Watch, that resources and empowers parents of this next generation.
Dr. Ferguson’s background of academic training, local church ministry, and his passion to see the family thrive in an increasingly decaying society positions Right to Life of Southwest Indiana to continue in its mission to protect life. When asked about his vision for the future, Dr. Ferguson stated pointedly, “As a husband and a father of three beautiful daughters, I will do for others what I endeavor to do for my family. I will be a staunch defender of life, seeking to protect those who cannot protect themselves. I will work together with community leaders and the vital institutions of our region to defend the unborn, protect the entire family, inspire a younger generation to fight for life, and mobilize the Church community to be a force that pushes back the darkness of a culture of death that has settled over our region. This is certainly a spiritual battle and there is simply too much at stake for passive inactivity!”
Dr. Ferguson acknowledges the size of the challenge but also the encouraging opportunities that exist for the pro-life movement right here in our region. He looks forward to partnering with churches, schools, organizations, and entrepreneurs to offer a faith-filled message of hope to a world in need.
