Indiana Right to Life is supporting calls for investigation into a presentation at Ft. Liberty labeling major pro-life organizations as terrorist groups. Journalist Sam Shoemate exposed the terrorism briefing that was held at Fort Liberty where they listed several pro-life organizations as “terrorist organizations.”

“The slide you see here followed right after a slide about ISIS, a terror group in the Middle East,” Shoemate explained. “The organizations labeled by the army as terror organizations include National Right to Life and Operation Rescue.”  Indiana Right to Life is a state affiliate of National Right to Life.

Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., chairman of the Subcommittee on Military Personnel,  expressed outrage and is calling for a more thorough explanation for the use of the teaching tools at Fort Liberty, formerly Fort Bragg, in North Carolina.

“This is truly shocking for an organization that insists on treating everyone with ‘dignity and respect’,” Banks wrote of the slide deck, which was used as part of a larger training for military police tasked with manning base access points.

Sen. Mike Braun and Sen. Todd Young also joined in a letter to Christine Wormuth, Secretary of the Army, demanding answers.

The letter states, “Smearing Pro-Life Americans is despicable and emblematic of the ongoing politicization of the military under the Biden-Harris administration.”

“The American public expects the Department of Defense and its personnel to defend the homeland from actual terrorists, not Americans who seek protections for children in the womb. Labeling Pro-Life organizations as threats challenges servicemembers’ moral obligation to defend and protect even the smallest among us. In fact, around half of all Americans identify as Pro-Life.  It is no wonder that the Army is struggling to recruit young men and women to join its ranks when it appears the service attacks their values and promotes a woke agenda rather than improving readiness and lethality, ” the letter continues.

Reports that Fort Liberty is walking back the issue is not enough.  This outrage demands a full investigation by Congress.

Indiana Right to Life is urging all pro-life persons to contact Indiana congressional members in support of an immediate investigation into why pro-life groups were labeled as terrorist groups and to hold those responsible accountable.  Concerned persons can take action here or by texting INVESTIGATE to 52886.
