Teacher Placed on Administrative Leave After Right to Life Michiana Spoke to Health Class

Indianapolis, Indiana – Today, Indiana Right to Life (IRTL) responds to news that a Clay High School teacher has been placed on administrative leave after he hosted a post-abortive woman and two employees of Right to Life Michiana (RTLM) in his health class on Tuesday, May 11.

Remarking on the school district placing the teacher on administrative leave, IRTL’s President Mike Fichter said:

“Indiana Right to Life stands with this courageous high school teacher who had the audacity to provide speakers presenting a different narrative to his health class from what Planned Parenthood desires our children hear in school. We applaud this teacher for presenting his students with facts to make a choice for life.”

The Clay High School teacher has been placed on administrative leave according to South Bend Community School Corporation Superintendent Todd Cummings who said proper protocols were not followed in asking the representatives from RTLM to speak to the class.

Indiana Right to Life is deeply concerned the teacher is being unfairly targeted for political purposes and is urging its supporters to contact Superintendent Cummings to request the teacher’s reinstatement.
