Friend, this book is for you. You are a woman warrior, making the selfless choice to share your body so a precious baby may have his or her own. And your kindness doesn’t stop there – not only are you giving this little person the time, nurturing, and shelter they need to grow, you are blessing a longing adoptive family with an unparalleled gift…the gift of a child.
As a woman who has gone through pregnancy and childbirth (both difficult and unique situations), I can empathize with you, friend – it is not an easy road. In those trying moments, my heart goes out to you as well as a prayer for strength, and a reminder that you are doing something sincerely incredible. Though childbirth does not define you, women like us are absolutely essential for bringing life into this world. Life. God chose and entrusted us glorious girls with the most important role in humanity. How’s that for amazing?
Lastly, I hope you will treasure this peace-giving sentiment on your journey: Jesus loves you, no questions asked. A deep, unconditional, comforting, empathetic kind of love…a love that is out of this world. And you know what else? Jesus understands hurt, both of the body and the heart. He wept in mourning. He bled in pain. He even felt abandoned. And yet…He conquered it all, so that in our own painful moments, we will have a hope that lasts forever. He showed us God’s heart, so that we may know love, share love, and be carried through love into Heaven. Amen.
